Palermo

Palermo is the neighborhood we chose for a reason. Its sidewalks are wide and tree-shaded, its cafés spill onto the pavement, and its culinary scene is one of the most interesting in Latin America — not just by Buenos Aires standards. For those looking for a boutique hotel in Palermo Hollywood, this part of the city is something specific: a place where local life happens at street level, and where the rest of Buenos Aires is genuinely easy to reach.

Palermo's parks, Distrito Arcos, and the heart of the porteño dining scene are all within walking distance. We're also a short ride from the D subway line and the Metrobús, and there are bike lanes right outside — you can borrow one of our complimentary bicycles.

A few things worth knowing before you arrive:

  • Acclaimed restaurants, and specialty coffee roasters within a five-minute walk
  • Independent design stores, art galleries, and weekend markets
  • Direct access to the parks, running paths, and the BA EcoBici bike-share network

Frequently Asked Questions about Palermo

Palo Santo is located in Palermo, one of Buenos Aires’ largest neighborhoods. It is divided into several sub-districts, the most notable being Palermo Hollywood, Bosques de Palermo, Palermo Soho, and Palermo Chico.

Palermo Hollywood

Palermo Hollywood — where Palo Santo is located — owes its name to the area’s main economic activity: audiovisual production. Over time, the neighborhood transformed as modern buildings replaced family homes, evolving into a trendy, fashionable, and contemporary district.

The area is filled with restaurants of every kind. You’ll find some of the city’s most prestigious tables as well as more casual options. From elegant fine dining and steakhouses to ethnic cuisine, old-fashioned cantinas, and pizzerias — the choices are endless. Many places make the most of outdoor space: charming tables under shady plane trees, peaceful patios, and sunny terraces.

We are always happy to share our restaurant recommendations so you can enjoy Palermo’s vibrant culinary scene!

Bosques de Palermo

Bosques de Palermo — officially Parque Tres de Febrero — is the city’s green lung. Covering 400 hectares and home to more than 12,000 trees, it is Buenos Aires’ largest parkland. It includes a rose garden, several lakes, a planetarium, a former zoo, a museum, the Japanese Garden, and numerous invaluable sculptures.

The Bosques are just a 15-minute walk from Palo Santo Hotel. Enjoy one of our complimentary bikes to explore the parks — it is also a favorite area for runners. On sunny days, especially in spring, the rose garden and the Japanese Garden make for beautiful outings.

Palermo Soho

Soho is Palermo’s most bohemian side. Here you’ll find plenty of clothing boutiques, décor shops, and stylish cafés. By night, the area takes on a youthful, lively vibe with many open-air bars.

From Palo Santo, you can reach Soho with a 10 to 15-minute walk. Plaza Serrano — the heart of Palermo Soho — is only 1,600 meters from the hotel.
